HTE Series Co-Rotating Parallel Twin Screw Extruders
HTE Series Co-Rotating Parallel Twin Screw Extruders
The HTE series co-rotating parallel twin screw extruders from Nanjing Hundred Horse are designed for masterbatch production, plastic compounding, engineering plastics, biodegradable materials, thermoplastic elastomers, cable compounds, wood plastic composites, and plastic recycling.
The series includes different extruder sizes and torque configurations to match different production targets. According to the material, formulation, and required output, each extruder can be configured with a suitable motor, gearbox, screw design, barrel arrangement, feeding system, and downstream pelletizing equipment.
From general masterbatch production to demanding compounding applications, the HTE series provides a flexible solution for manufacturers who need stable processing, efficient mixing, and reliable continuous production.
Different Extruder Sizes and Torque Configurations
HTE extruders are available in several screw diameter sizes, including HTE35, HTE40, HTE50, HTE52, HTE65, HTE75, and HTE95. The model number mainly refers to the screw diameter range, while the torque class defines the strength of the motor, gearbox, shaft system, and processing capability.
This means that the same extruder size can be supplied in different configurations. For example, an HTE50 standard torque extruder and an HTE50 high torque extruder have the same screw diameter, but different motor power, torque, and output range.
This structure helps customers choose a machine based on real production needs instead of selecting only by screw diameter.

High Torque Series
The high torque series is designed for applications that need stronger processing performance than the standard series. It is commonly used for reinforced plastics, engineering compounds, high filler masterbatch, flame-retardant materials, and cable compounds.
| Model | Screw Diameter | Motor Power | Torque per Single Screw | Screw Speed | Capacity |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| HTE35 | 35.6 mm | 30 kW | 238 N·m | 600 rpm | 50–200 kg/h |
| HTE50 | 50.5 mm | 90 kW | 652 N·m | 600 rpm | 200–400 kg/h |
| HTE65 | 62.4 mm | 160 kW | 1,237 N·m | 600 rpm | 400–800 kg/h |
| HTE75 | 71 mm | 250 kW | 1,901 N·m | 600 rpm | 800–1,500 kg/h |
Super High Torque Series
The super high torque series is the heavy-duty configuration of the HTE range. It is suitable for customers who require higher production capacity, stronger torque, and stable processing of demanding formulations.
| Model | Screw Diameter | Motor Power | Torque per Single Screw | Screw Speed | Capacity |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| HTE50 | 50.5 mm | 110 kW | 874 N·m | 600 rpm | 250–500 kg/h |
| HTE65 | 62.4 mm | 200 kW | 1,659 N·m | 600 rpm | 500–1,000 kg/h |
| HTE75 | 71 mm | 315 kW | 2,549 N·m | 600 rpm | 1,000–2,000 kg/h |
Example: HTE50 Configuration Comparison
The HTE50 model can be supplied in different torque configurations. Although the screw diameter remains 50.5 mm, the motor power, torque, and output capacity are different.
This example shows why the same model number may appear in more than one technical table. The model number identifies the screw diameter, while the torque class defines the actual processing strength of the machine.
| Model | Torque Class | Screw Diameter | Motor Power | Torque per Single Screw | Capacity |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| HTE50 | Standard Torque | 50.5 mm | 55 kW | 430 N·m | 100–250 kg/h |
| HTE50 | High Torque | 50.5 mm | 90 kW | 652 N·m | 200–400 kg/h |
| HTE50 | Super High Torque | 50.5 mm | 110 kW | 874 N·m | 250–500 kg/h |

How to Choose the Right HTE Extruder
Choosing the right twin screw extruder depends on the formulation, target output, and production conditions. Screw diameter is important, but it is not the only factor. Motor power, gearbox torque, screw design, feeding method, venting, and pelletizing system also affect the final result.
- For general masterbatch and normal compounding: Standard torque series is usually suitable.
- For reinforced plastics, high filler content, and engineering compounds: High torque series is recommended.
- For heavy-duty production and difficult formulations: Super high torque series provides stronger processing capability.
- For laboratory testing and small-batch trials: HTE20 laboratory extruder is the recommended solution.
