Screen Changer for Melt Filtration
A screen changer is used to filter the polymer melt and remove contamination before pelletizing. It helps protect the downstream pelletizing system and supports cleaner, more stable pellet production.
In twin-screw compounding lines, the screen changer is installed between the extruder and the pelletizing section. A common structure is a single-plate screen changer with two working positions, allowing the screen to be changed with limited interruption to the process.
The screen changer performs the same basic function across different compounding lines: melt filtration before pelletizing.
